Francesc Marsal – Curriculum Vitae
Ever since childhood, have I felt a great need to express myself physically through dance. Then, at fourteen, I started doing ballroom dancing and, after seven years of intense training, I fell naturally into contemporary dance. Very soon I was working with professional companies, in Spain, Ireland, England, Portugal and finally I settled in Germany where I am engaged in the Ballet Ensemble of the Theater of Lüneburg. Throughout my dance career I have benefited from Osteopaths, Craneosacral and Feldenkrais practitioners with whom I often made exchanges. Getting to understand at a deeper level not just movement but the human being in a holistic sense.
Júlia Cortés – Curriculum Vita
Coming from a musical background, music and dance were something natural for me. I started dancing at a very early age, at the age of three, and forteen years later I graduated with honours at the Dance Conservatory “Institut del Teatre” in Barcelona. A scholarship in France first, with the
“Ballet des Jeunes d’Europe”, and later with the prestigious dance school of Maurice Béjart for two years, helped me to perfect my technique as a professional dancer. After these great experiences, I danced in many countries around the world with Gelabert-Azzopardi Dance Company and then I was a dancer in Nürnberg StaatsTheater in germany where I worked for six seasons with choreographers such as Goyo Montero, Nacho Duato, Matts Ekks among many others. I am now part of the ballet ensemble from the Theater of Lüneburg.
For 12 years I have in parallel undertaken projects with Francesc Marsal, based on Argentinian Tango, Contemporary dance and also Acroyoga. Together we have won several prizes in international dance competitions.
We both feel that we have something very special and a unique flavor, and now “MovingKids” involves also our own daughter, a project that we three in family deeply enjoy.
